FAQs About Online Anxiety Therapy

First, we'll review various areas of your life in order to identify patterns about your anxiety so we can begin to understand some of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to it. We'll also start to develop an individualized plan based upon that information so you can start to learn to manage your anxiety in your day to day life.

Sessions are 53 minutes long. All sessions are held online via a confidential platform.

Cost varies based on your individual health insurance plan. I'll check the specifics to see how much each session is covered; however, please note that online insurance information may sometimes be incomplete or inaccurate. The most accurate way to determine coverage is often to proceed with a session and wait for the insurance claim to process. Rest assured, I'll keep you updated throughout the process, and I am committed to fair billing practices. I am in-network with the following insurance companies: Aetna, Anthem / Blue Cross / Capital Blue, Geisinger, Humana, Highmark, Optum, and UnitedHealthcare UHC | UBH.

This is a common question, and distinguishing between stress and anxiety can be challenging. In our initial session, we'll delve into your symptoms, observations, thoughts, and behaviors to gain a clearer understanding of your experiences. Through this assessment, I will be better able to discern whether you're dealing with stress or anxiety. Regardless of the outcome, we'll collaborate to create a tailored plan to enhance your coping mechanisms and overall well-being.

Experiencing a panic attack can be overwhelming, and it's important to recognize the signs. Common symptoms of a panic attack include:
  • Sudden and intense feelings of fear or dread
  • Rapid heart rate or palpitations
  • Shortness of breath or a feeling of choking
  • Trembling or shaking
  • Sweating
  • Chest pain or discomfort
  • Nausea or abdominal distress
  • Feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or faint
  • Numbness or tingling sensations
  • Hot flashes or chills
If you consistently experience several of these symptoms simultaneously and they escalate rapidly, it may indicate a panic attack. However, it's crucial to talk with a therapist for a thorough assessment and guidance on managing panic attacks. They can help you understand your unique triggers and develop coping strategies tailored to your needs.

Let's have a conversation! Discovering the therapist who resonates with you is crucial for your personal development. I'm committed to helping you find the best match, and I'll be upfront if I don't think I'm the right fit. Schedule a session today for a chat to explore if we're well-suited to collaborate.

Fantastic! I am excited that you're making the decision to begin therapy. Next step is to schedule online to make sure we're a good fit to work together. Looking forward to meeting you!
